As a Delivery Driver at Rhino Greenhouses, you're often the only face of the company our customers ever meet — so the way you show up matters as much as the goods you're carrying. Key Responsibilities
- Deliveries: Drive long distances to undertake the on-time, in-full delivery of greenhouses and accessories to customer addresses throughout the UK.
- Customer Representation: Represent the company through appearance, action, and interaction with customers.
- Away from Home: Spend nights away from home when required, and be comfortable staying in a small space for extended periods.
- Documentation: Ensure goods are checked and associated documentation is signed by the customer following delivery, and return paperwork and fuel receipts to the office at the end of the shift.
- Customer Communication: Call each customer at least one hour before arrival, and photograph and forward each delivery to the office once complete.
- Driving Compliance: Ensure all driving rules and laws are adhered to at all times.
- Vehicle Care: Keep the vehicle clean and well maintained, checking it daily before commencing deliveries.
- Defect Reporting: Report any vehicle defects to a senior member of staff as soon as they arise.
- Safe Loading: Ensure the vehicle is loaded safely and within the weight limit.
- Route Communication:Maintain communication with the office to inform of any changes to delivery, route, or schedule.
- Team Support: Assist in the factory when required, liaising effectively and supporting the wider organisation.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Support and comply with all company risk assessments, policies, and procedures, following Health and Safety regulations as outlined in the Policy and Procedures book.
Measures of Success
- Deliveries completed on time and in full
- Consistently positive customer interactions and feedback
- All delivery documentation and fuel receipts returned accurately and promptly
- Customers called ahead and deliveries photographed as required
- Vehicle kept clean, roadworthy, and defect-free
- Full compliance with driving laws and health and safety requirements
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with a valid Category C licence
- Valid digital tachograph card
- An understanding of the working time directive for a 7.2-tonne vehicle
Salary: Competitive with annual performance based bonus.
