Rhino Careers - Factory Operative (Packing)

As a Factory Operative in Packing at Rhino Greenhouses, you'll help keep our production line moving — preparing aluminium items to go out to our powder coaters and supporting the packing team with whatever the day throws at you. It's a varied, hands-on role where no two days are quite the same, and the care and accuracy you bring here helps make sure every greenhouse leaves the factory looking its best. What You'll Be Doing

  • Health and Safety: Keep equipment safe and ready with pre-use checks.
  • Stock Picking: Pick aluminium items from stock using pick sheets.
  • Powder Coating Prep: Prepare and load items into stillages, ready to be sent to the powder coaters.
  • Stock Organisation: Keep stock levels in racks maintained and organised.
  • Packing Support: Pack greenhouse boxes when required.
  • Bundling: Bundle and wrap aluminium and other parts into the required groups.
  • Quality Logging: Log quality-controlled items onto our computer system.
  • Quality Checking: Check powder-coated items when they return, to make sure they meet the required standard.
  • Stock Counting: Count and check quantities carefully.
  • Storage: Put finished items into the correct storage locations, stored the right way.
  • Workplace Standards: Keep your work area clean, organised, and safe.
  • Team Support: Help out across the packing department when needed.

  • Pick sheets followed accurately, with items picked and prepared right first time
  • Stock kept organised, with quantities counted and checked carefully
  • Quality checks carried out attentively, catching anything below standard
  • A clean, organised, and safe work area maintained throughout the day

What You'll Need

  • A keen eye for detail and good counting and organisational skills
  • A fast learner, comfortable picking up new processes in a fast-paced environment
  • Punctual, reliable, and a strong work ethic
  • Comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: Competitive with annual performance based bonus.
